AcadArena: La Salle rules Valo, CODM; UST takes ML crown

De La Salle University reigned supreme in the AcadArena Alliance Games after bagging the Valorant and Call of Duty Mobile titles a week ago at the CONQuest Festival held at the SMX Convention Center.

Viridis Arcus claimed their fourth straight Valorant title after defeating Ateneo de Manila University, 3-1, in the best-of-five grand finals last Sunday.

The trio of BRN xavi8k (KAY/O), VA f1ssion (Chamber), and Grossof (Jett) showed up big time in Game Four at Breeze taking a 13-11 come-from-behind dub to secure the championship.

Down by as much as four, 10-7, VA f1ssion completed a much-needed three-versus-one clutch in round 17 to get his team back on track.

From there, Viridis Arcus started a 4-1 blast to tie the game at 11-all to end the 21st frame.

Come Round 22, VA Realist’s Sova had a successful delay using his Hunter’s Fury for post-plant, killing the defuser.

RD Flex was able to pick him off at mid, successfully trading his teammate.

Unfortunately for him though, there was no more time left to defuse the spike as Virdis Arcus entered match point 12-11 before eventually bagging the win at round 24.

LG Terra actually took Game One at Haven in a close contested 13-11 win but Viridis Arcus answered back with a dominant 13-5 victory in Map Two (Bind), followed by a 13-9 triumph in Game Three at Split.

The last time De La Salle won the AcadArena Valorant Championship was in October of 2021 when they bagged three-peat against Far Eastern University’s iTamaraws Esports Club.

A day before, Viridis Arcus dominated Far Eastern University, 3-0, to claim the CODM title.

La Salle drew first blood in the opener, scoring a 250-196 victory in Hardpoint (Summit).

Then it overcame a 0-4 disadvantage in Search and Destroy to come out with a tight 7-6 win for a quick 2-0 series lead.

Viridis Arcus then went for the kill in Domination (Summit), securing a 150-113 victory to bag the CODM title in the event which transpired during AcadArena’s CONQuest Festival.

Meanwhile, University of Sto.

Tomas went undefeated in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event, taking a 3-1 victory over the University of Batangas in the grand finale. By: Paolo Trinidad and Zachi Cruz
