Call of Duty 2023: Premium release, Modern Warfare 2 Year 2, developers, more

Activision have confirmed that Call of Duty fans can expect a “full premium release” in 2023 but official details are sparse.

Insiders claim to have revealed what we can expect, including how it ties in with Modern Warfare 2, the content, and the developers.

Although 2022’s Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2, has only just arrived, leaks and rumors have painted a picture of what we can expect over the next few years.

Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reported back in February 2022 that Treyarch’s Call of Duty 2023 was delayed until 2024, meaning another year of Modern Warfare 2 content.

However, Activision’s earnings calls have suggested that CoD players can expect a “premium” title in 2023.

Insider reports refute what Activision state in their calls, so we’re breaking down everything we know about Call of Duty 2023 and how it ties in with Modern Warfare 2.

What is Call of Duty 2023? Modern Warfare 2 Year 2? Officially, Call of Duty 2023 will be the “next full premium release in the blockbuster annual series,” suggesting that it will be a brand-new, standalone game.

However, insiders continue to dispute this, suggesting that it’ll be paid DLC for Modern Warfare 2.

After Activision said that CoD 2023 will be the next full premium release, Jason Schreier argued that it won’t be a new game, “it’s a continuation of Modern Warfare II.

” He believes they’re calling it a full premium release because they’ll market and sell it as such.

“It’s like an expansion but big enough that they can sell it for full price,” he explained.

Man lol you keep falling for the same PR language.

It's a continuation of Modern Warfare II.

It's called a full premium release because they're probably going to market and sell it as a $70 game with new single- and multiplayer content.

But it's more MWII — Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) November 7, 2022 According to another insider, Tom Henderson, Call of Duty 2023 will feature “a series of remastered maps from past games,” as well as campaign DLC that continues Modern Warfare 2’s story.

Popular leaker TheGhostofHope said that from what they’ve personally heard, “it’s all/almost all MW2 2009 maps as the core focus and then some Treyarch/[Sledgehammer Games] fan-favorite maps.

” As far as I know it’s all/almost all MW2 2009 maps as the core focus and then some Treyarch/SHG fan favorite maps with that.

Campaign DLC expands upon the story we just played with MWII.

— Hope (@TheGhostOfHope) November 7, 2022 Henderson and Hope’s reports line up with what Schreier has said, but we’ll need to wait for the official reveal to know for sure.

Call of Duty 2023 is expected to arrive at the same time as a usual premium release, arriving in late October/early November 2023.

This likely means that Modern Warfare 2 will feature around six seasons of content, with Season 1 kicking off alongside Warzone 2 and DMZ‘s arrival on November 16.

Call of Duty 2023 developer leaks According to Jason Schreier, Sledgehammer Games will return to develop Call of Duty 2023.

Sledgehammer co-developed Modern Warfare 3 with Infinity Ward before being the main developers of Advanced Warfare, WWII, and most recently, Vanguard.

Although the rumors have already been contradicted, Schreier made it plain that “those random rumors a few weeks ago about Sledgehammer making Advanced Warfare 2 were false.

” While he said “never say never,” CoD 2023 will be their next project.

Let me make this super clear: – The next game, by Treyarch, is coming out in 2024 – Next year there will be a Modern Warfare II "premium" (paid) expansion by Sledgehammer – It's supposed to have lots of content! Maybe that's why they call it a "full" release.

But it's more MWII https://t.
