Call of Duty 2024: Developer, setting, engine, leaked concept art, more

Even though Modern Warfare 2 arrives in 2022, there are already significant leaks and rumors surrounding Call of Duty 2024.

It’s expected to be the next Black Ops, so here’s everything we know about the next Call of Duty, including its developers, setting, engine, and more.

If reports prove true, 2023 is set to be the first year without a premium CoD game since 2005’s Call of Duty 2.

This means that following 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 and its campaign, multiplayer, Spec Ops, and leaked DMZ mode, the next CoD game will release in 2024.

Although a long way off, leaks and rumors are already emerging about 2024’s entry, which is expected to be the next in the Black Ops series.

Here’s everything we know so far, including the developers, setting, time period, engine, and more.

Call of Duty 2024 developers It’s all but confirmed that Treyarch will be developing Call of Duty 2024, which is expected to be the next title in the Black Ops series.

Treyarch’s return was first reported by Bloomberg after the Microsoft acquisition was announced, but it would also make sense with Infinity Ward and Treyarch typically taking the releases in turns.

With sources confirming that Advanced Warfare 2 is not in the works for 2025, It has also been confirmed that Treyarch’s CoD 2024 will have a two-year life cycle, much like Modern Warfare 2 is set to have, giving the game a chance to blossom more than in the past.

BREAKING: Bloomberg reports that the next 3 Call of Duty games will release on PlayStation, as part of the PlayStation x Activision partnership New MW game this year; new Treyarch game next year.

com/Ll4BQTyrsp — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) January 25, 2022 Call of Duty 2024 setting & time period Incredibly, concept art for Call of Duty 2024 was reportedly found in Warzone Mobile‘s game files, giving us an indication of the game’s setting and time period.

Call of Duty dataminer ‘Reality’ discovered that Warzone Mobile’s files had a string for “t10_usa_mogadishu.

” Players immediately speculated that this refers to the Battle of Mogadishu, also known as the Black Hawk Down incident.

This battle took place in Somalia in 1993, meaning the next Black Ops could feature the United Nation’s intervention in Somalia during the early 90s.

References to “Mogadishu” found in files for Treyarch’s 2024 CoD title.

*could* likely be referring to the battle of Mogadishu which was in the 90s 👀 https://t.

” It’s entirely possible that, similar to Black Ops 2 and Black Ops Cold War, Call of Duty 2024 will take place in different time periods.

But, it’s unlikely that Activision or Treyarch will provide clarity any time soon.

This concept art shows what appears to be two of the maps that are in development.

The first is a map that’s codenamed ‘Stealth’ and appears to feature a US military base in a desert area.

The second map is codenamed ‘Pillage’ and shows soldiers entering what appears to be a wartorn mansion or palace.

Call of Duty 2024 engine Starting with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, every future Call of Duty game will be developed under “one unified engine” — an advanced version of the IW engine.

Speaking to the Washington Post, Call of Duty’s General Manager Johanna Faries confirmed that even though the next Black Ops will be on the same engine as Modern Warfare 2, it will still feel different.

They want Treyarch games to feel like Treyarch games and MW games to feel like Modern Warfare.

Will there be a CoD game in 2023? Although it hasn’t been confirmed by Activision yet, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier reported that Activision delayed Treyarch’s CoD 2023 to CoD 2024, meaning that there should be no premium Call of Duty in 2023.

Instead, it’s likely that Modern Warfare 2 will receive two years of support, likely resulting in twelve seasons of content, bringing new maps, weapons, Operators, and more.

However, an Activision spokesperson responded: “We have an exciting slate of premium and free-to-play Call of Duty experiences for this year, next year and beyond.

Reports of anything otherwise are incorrect.

” That’s everything we know about the next Call of Duty game so far! Stay tuned, as we expect even more leaks and official reveals throughout the rest of 2022 and 2023.
