“Game Creation at This Company Is Abysmal” - Fans Don’t Agree on Xbox Buying Call of Duty Maker Activision While Criticizing Microsoft

Published 11/22/2022, 7:10 AM EST There’s no doubt about the fact that the gaming community has been divided ever since Xbox maker Microsoft announced its proposed acquisition of Call of Duty publisher Activision Blizzard.

While one section supports this move without having any major problem, others don’t think so.

According to them, that’s not a good approach to popularize the Xbox platform.

He tried to explain how Microsoft’s decision to acquire Activision is somewhat justified in its own manner.

“Why is Xbox buying Activision? Because Sony kicked their ass for years and fans hammered them for not having games.

So now they’ve adjusted their business strategy, will keep multi-platform releases when it makes sense and people still say it’s not good enough,” read the tweet from Destin.

Basically, he tried to convey that due to Sony and past fan reactions, calling them out for not having good IPs, the Xbox maker has taken this new route.

However, social media users didn’t seem to agree on this point.

In fact, they think that the company won’t even keep a franchise like Call of Duty on multiple platforms after the deal is finished.

They believe that it will become Xbox exclusive, thus making no difference at all compared to Sony.

“Management and vision in terms of game creation at this company is abysmal,” wrote one frustrated user.
