While posting it, the account mentioned how the past was amazing in terms of enjoying a game.

In this case, they mentioned a blockbuster installment from 2011 – the one and only Modern Warfare 3.

The third entry in the beloved, original trilogy was made by Infinity Ward and launched worldwide almost a decade ago.

Unlike the present day, there were hardly any options of ordering games online.

The concept of downloading and installing was not that common.

Hence, the only way people could buy a fresh release was by physically going to the retail store and stand in long queues in the night.

Compared to the present time, they didn’t have to follow endless steps to get their copies.

All they had to do was to go to the store.

To them, the feeling witnessing huge crowds outside the retail stores and then getting the actual game disc was just phenomenal.

“I miss standing in line waiting on a midnight release,” wrote one user.
