Unconfirmed rumor claims Advanced Warfare 2 coming as Call of Duty 2025

A leak is claiming that Sledgehammer are working on Call of Duty 2025, with rumors swirling around the title being a sequel to Advanced Warfare.

Despite Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 not being far from release, players and the community alike are constantly looking ahead at the future of Call of Duty.

There are many developers now working on the game, with a cycle that includes Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer.

The latter introduced Vanguard in 2021, and in 2022, it’s Infinity Ward’s turn to bring the highly anticipated sequel to Moder Warfare 2019.

Talking of sequels, an unverified rumor from RalphsValve is suggesting that Call of Duty 2025 could be a sequel to Sledgehammer Games’ Advanced Warfare.

However, this cannot currently be confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt.

co/jhpqZgTlkr — Ralph (@RalphsValve) October 5, 2022 According to leaks and the developer cycle of Call of Duty, Treyarch are set to be the next to release a Call of Duty game in 2024, giving Modern Warfare 2 two years of life.

With that said, one of the reasons this Advanced Warfare 2 rumor may not be true is because it would mean that Activision wouldn’t be giving Treyarch’s 2024 CoD title a two-year cycle, which seems unlikely.

In the comments of CharlieIntel’s post, popular Call of Duty leaker GhostOfHope is claiming that they have also “heard and can corroborate that Sledgehammer is working on a successor to Advanced Warfare.

” For those asking what rumors — there’s an unverified rumor that Advanced Warfare 2 from Sledgehammer is coming in 2025.

We cannot confirm this at all, and it also seems unlikely Activision won’t give Treyarch’s 2024 game a 2 year cycle.

It’s all very unclear and unconfirmed at the moment, but as soon as more information is available we’ll be sure to update this piece so stay tuned.
