In a recent interview with a reputed media outlet, he mentioned that his team has a way of getting a solution when it comes to Sony’s concerns.
Especially regarding the Call of Duty franchise.
ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad Phil Spencer says his team is hopeful to make Sony agree over the Activision deal and remove all concerns for Call of Duty When it comes to Sony’s fear regarding the proposed acquisition of Activision, it’s afraid that after the deal is done, Microsoft will make an irreplaceable IP like Call of Duty Xbox exclusive.
And that such a decision will reduce the overall market competition.
The PlayStation giant mentioned these points in a recent filing with UK’s Competition and Markets Authority.
Basically, Sony believes that getting a franchise such as CoD under its control will give Microsoft a lot of power over the market rivals.
However, Phil Spencer is still emphasizing on his point of making Call of Duty available on multiple platforms.
A clear example of that was the newly announced commitment from Microsoft to offer the action series on future Nintendo consoles.

7 billion deal.
“There’s been one game industry participant that’s really been raising all the objections, and that’s Sony, and they’ve been fairly public about the things that don’t meet their expectations,” he said.
Interestingly, though, the Xbox chief also stated that they are constantly putting efforts to make the PlayStation maker agree.
And that they know how to make it happen eventually.
“Our intent is to become more relevant on more screens.
We have a pretty good idea of how to build a win-win relationship with Nintendo and frankly Sony.
